DHL Pranks Other Shipping Companies By Sending Giant Heat-Reactive 'DHL IS FASTER' Packages

February 21, 2014

This is a viral ad for DHL shipping that involves pranking the other major shipping companies by using them to send giant chilled boxes with heat-reactive printing that reads 'DHL IS FASTER' when warm. Sure, clever prank, but still -- poor sportsmanship. I didn't know the shipping industry was such a mug-slinging campaign. You want me to tell what shipping service is the best? They all suck. If you want something to arrive on time and unbroken you'll have just as much luck shooting it out of a cannon.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Tim and Side Effect, who have both seen employees from every major shipping company kicking boxes down the sidewalk.

I haven't seen a DHL truck in years, I honestly didn't know they were still around

  • Littletroubleshooter

They're mostly in major cities in North America and Europe.
They're trying to gear themselves as "Dependable" and shipping "specialist."

  • Anon the Mouse

DHL is the slowest shipping company I have ever used in my life... My packages received via DHL take usually two whole weeks. :/

  • dada

how stupid are you, that has no barring on the speed of DHL, order shit closer to home, have UPS deliver it and now they're the fastest in the world? reeeeetard

  • Anon the Mouse

I could barely read what you were trying to say (punctuation is hard, I know) but here goes my reply: I had no control over the shipment, it was DHL only, and the only company to carry the product... yeah that makes me dumb! :D They were shipping from a few states over, it should not take 2 weeks.

haha messed up. Love how one guy tried covering it up

So, when you put a black box in the van and it comes out yellow, wouldn't you be a little bit suspicious?

  • Ninja_Cricket

So....They couldn't afford a real advertisement and their competitors are cheaper? Guess I'll use the other guy, they are affordable and even when given difficult addresses managed to find them. All while someone was filming them, which I find odd.

    Hurts more.

    I'm glad someone asked.

  • Imadethisnameup

    "They're well paid, after all"

    Well fuck you DHL.
I know lots of delivery drivers who don't know EVERY SINGLE ADDRESS in a major metro.

  • Dani

So how did they prove again that they are faster? Did they shipped one of those packages themselves and it arrived chilled? No. They just proved that they're trolls.

  • Tyler AitchKay

Thank you for saying 'pranked' and not 'trolled'.
