T-Rex Optical Illusion Follows You With Its Head

t-rex-optical-illusion.gif

Come hither.

This is a paper t-rex optical illusion that appears to follow you with its head as you walk around it. Cool, but I still want one of those creepy paintings that follows you with its eyes as you move around the room. "Don't masturbate paintings" I call them.

Keep going for a two minute video which shows how the illusion works at the end, templates to print and make your own are here in GREEN, RED and PURPLE.

Thanks to gogurt, Alex and Adam K, who promised to help me fill my room with a whole score of these things.

    Old internet is old.

It is quite an old one. But still good. If you do a google image search on "3d papercraft illusion" you'll find the cat and the robotdog and loads of other stuff including some weird anime girl.

Old news? Yes. Worth repeating... yes. These are cool as hell

  • MustacheHam

These are great, I have the cat & dragon ones.

Now this fella can be added to the collection. >:} mwahahahaha!

I have a gif that dates back to 2004 with that exact same optical illusion and dragon... What did that spirit quest did to you GW? Are you alright?

  • Vlad

Did you loose some brain cells on you spirit quest GW? That's obviously a green dragon.

  • Bertw192

How is that a dragon? No horns, no fire, no back spikes, no tail spikes. I'm going to go with GW on this one and say it's a T-Rex. Look at those arms, classic T-Rex arms.

    But wait, there's more! http://www.geekologie.com/2010...

Compared to what scientific data of a dragon's appearance?

It's a goddamn dinosaur because GW says it is.

    Also no fire.
Because based on my expert opinion, that's the only difference between dragons and dinosaurs.

  • Bertw192

It seems that you posted the same article twice. All the same, I'm not arguing that, this is a scientific representation of a T-Rex, it's obviously quite artistic.

Based on your logic, the Red Ranger also had a "dragon" Dinozord... All my dinosaur toys as a kid were actually dragons... Barney was a dragon... Jurassic Park was plagued by dragons... etc...
