Sneak Peak Of LEGO's Disney Princess Playsets

disney-princess-lego-1.jpg

This is a preview of the LEGO Disney Princess playsets scheduled for release sometime next year. So if you were hoping to score some for Christmas, forget about it. The sets come with those weird little figurines used in the 'Friends' line of LEGO for girl playsets instead of regular minifigs. I'm not sure why they did that. Maybe regular minifigs would have made the princesses look too out of proportion. Personally, I'm cool with plumper looking princesses. Aren't I, Ariel? "Stop feeding me so much." Shhhhhh -- just eat up. "And what's this I hear about you hanging fish-fry signs all over town?" Haha, you, uh, you heard about those?

Keep going for another Little Mermaid, Brave, Tangled, and two Cinderella sets.

Thanks to blaqk_panda, who agrees they need to make an entire King Triton's palace playset complete with penis shaped spires.

Lego Princess sets...so simple, even a girl can build them!

To be fair, this could be intended for a younger audience. The one's who are too advance for Duplo but not quite ready for the more serious sets. Case of point is the Lego Juniors sets for Marvel that are going to be released in 2014 as well. It is NOT sexism, in my opinion. Still, I would LOVE to have an Ultimate Collector's set for Elsa's ice castle from Frozen, like the Tower of Orthanc from the Lord of the Rings theme. It could include Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and maybe a special mould of Sven (like the horses from the Lord of the Rings) and includes light up bricks to make the translucent blue shine. That will be so great....

And I agree, that's quite the sneaky apex they got there...

"Not sure why they did that"? Because Lego Friends is a huge success for Lego and these sets are aimed at the same audience...

What's the point of LEGO if the set consists of five blocks the size Pam Andersons tits.
