15-Foot, 1:15 Scale R/C Airbus A380 Commercial Jet

rc-airbus-commercial-jet.jpg

This is a video of a 1:15 scale R/C Airbus A380 taking to the skies at a recent R/C plane show. You know, that seems like it would be a fun thing to attend on a weekend. You know what I attend on weekends? Community service. And not the cool kind like I created a community garden and everybody can come pick free tomatoes, the bad kind where I'm just trying to avoid jail time. Mostly I pick up trash and scrape stickers off streetlamps.

Keep going for a video of the airplane doing its thing (flying).

Thanks to Nicholas and danny, who agree it would be even cooler if it were powerful enough for a person to sit on and ride like a missile.

There are Comments.

A lovely pieceof work and phantastic to watch,
except for one sour taste, why do Europeans kowtow continuously to Americans
when it comes to measurements? What is it with that nonsense of 15 ft? Is it a
rough conversion, or the real measurement? Yankeeland is the only country on
this globe still using medieval feet and thumbs, but you wouldn’t think that
looking at Europeans expressing their television screens in stupid inches.
America forced the world to fly in feet after 1945, but promised in a preamble
to the ICAO treaty that all aspects of aviation will be metricated. That was 68
years ago! The reason they gave why
everybody should fly in feet was and still is that neither feet, nor meters are
proper height measurements and till we
find the right one everybody sticks to our bloody feet! Well would you believe
it the metric world accepted that stupidity then and still does. If that
doesn’t make them a bunch of idiots, what does????
