16,000-Piece 'Invisible' LEGO Portrait Reveals Yoda And Vader's Faces When Light Is Applied At Different Angles

yoda-vader-lego-portraits.jpg

This is a time-lapse video of Google Switzerland employees building a giant LEGO portrait that displays Yoda's or Darth Vader's face depending on the direction of the light striking it. Coming from the lower left, it's Yoda, from the lower right, Vader, and from head-on, just a white wall. Or maybe it's supposed to be Hoth. Get it? Because Hoth is so snowy it's just white all the time. My little brother told me to say that because he thought it would be funny. It's not though, I'm just humoring him. Say, what are still doing at home now anyways? "You were supposed to drive me to school over an hour ago." Shit! Please don't tell mom.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Cameron and TheCureForHope, who agree this is super cool and all, but owning one of those portraits with the eyes that follow you around the room would be even cooler.

Do it with a Lite Brite, then I'll be impressed.
