But Why?: Man Hammers Nails Into Board With Bare Hand

hammer-hand-man.jpg

Seen here with the exact look of a man who I'd imagine would try to hammer nails into a board with his bare hand, Ukrainian tough guy Denis Pakhomov prepares to do just that. Impressive work, Denis, but hammers are pretty cheap you know. Hell, even I have two, maybe three. My point is you don't have to keep doing this to yourself.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to Diane, who once saw a man try to hammer a nail into a board using his head and lost an eye. Worst sideshow ever.

  • Hmmph.

Yeah, slamming nails into a "board". Sure. If 1/8 is considered a benchmark I'm proud to say I can crush a 4 inch section in one hand.

    Because he's chuck norris.

  • I love the video screenshot used, it looks like a very drunk guy saying, "Hey don't worry I got this."It's called "momentum"!

Strong, but will it run Crysis 3?

...but would he make sweet love to you all night and wake you with eggs benedict?

Whey break the board when you can build with it?

  • James Nguyen

    Balsa wood.

  • Hard hands, but not necessarily a new trick. Actually thought he'd do it the 'old' way of having the nails marginally stuck-in and then slamming his palm onto it.

  • Kaizer Chief

As with any classic feat of strength, there are always a bunch of internet tough guys pooh-poohing it...

  • whacko

A real man would be able to do this with finishing nails...

  • Rob in Katy

LOL- I was thinking the same thing...

  • Aalok

Not saying I'd be able to do that, but surely the size of those nail heads makes it much easier.

    It's called "momentum"!

  • RayleighJean

brings whole new meaning to "my grandpa built this house with his bare hands"
