Bill Nye's First Performance On Dancing With The Stars (Was A Cha-Cha Set To The 'Weird Science' Theme Song)

September 17, 2013

This is a video of Bill Nye the Science Guy's first performance on 'Dancing With The Stars'. He and his partner Tyne Stecklein do the cha-cha to Oingo Boingo's 'Weird Science'. Admittedly, he did look a little robotic out there. Now I'm not saying the government kidnapped the real Bill and replaced him with a robot so he'll stop pushing his climate change agenda, I'm just saying it's a possibility we shouldn't rule out.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to Sandy, who agrees Bill better perform to his own 'Bill Nye The Science Guy' theme song at least once.

  • Looks like a "Dave"

My hypothesis is that he intended to emphasize or exaggerate 'geekiness' in order to make the dance part seem more 'cool.'
My conclusion: Don't quit your day job.
But then I shouldn't talk, I have the style and mobility of a Mack truck.

That isn't the Bill Nye The Science Guy tv show theme, that was the Weird Science theme from the Weird Science movie from 1985.

I'd only vote for him to see more of her…

Did he just call it a kid's show? Bill Nye better shut his whore mouth

His dancing was bad. and that sex pun made me uncomfortable. :/ how sickening

  • Murris Bushnellis

    Someone doesn't understand clever satire....

LOL CLEVER... what were you raised and schooled by an idiot?

Afterwards, old Billy boy there took her in the back, and showed her all about his Big Bang.

We need a new word to describe this. Epic is no longer accepted

  • Bill Nye is rad, and he swing dances apparently. My ex girlfriend has pictures dancing with him. A bunch. Hmmm... I think Bill Nye might have stole my girlfriend.

  • If the internet and 4chan have anything to say about the voting, Bill Nye will win this competition.
