Cockatiel Whistling The 'My Neighbor Totoro' Theme Song

bird-singing-totoro.jpg

Ever wanted to see a cockatiel whistling the theme to Hayao Miyazaki's animated classic 'My Neighbor Totoro' with a little musical accompaniment by its caretaker? Well you're in luck. Man, if I had that bird I would have him singing that song all day long, and my life would be better because of it. Then, when my roommate can't stand it anymore and finally threatens, "IT'S EITHER THE BIRD OR ME!" I'll ask if he needs any help throwing garbage bags of his stuff down the stairs.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to monchichi, who agrees a neighbor like Totoro is worlds better than the guy who lives there now that just screams all the time.

Great video and cute bird, but you have to wonder how many times a day the kid plays the theme song for the bird to have memorized it so perfectly. Sounds like the kid is strangely addicted to the tune.

  • Cute but would be more effective if it was a more recognizable tune.

    What's more recognizable than this?

    star wars? harry potter??

I have all 8 Harry Potter movies and I don't think I could recognize the theme song. I also have all the Star Wars... pretty much everything, and it would probably take me a minute to recognize the theme (I always confuse it with the Superman theme)

Maybe you should try watching the movies too.
Owning them won't magically show you how they are, let alone tell you what the themesongs are.

This is the happiest I have ever been.

That really made me laugh! Cute and adorable, but that whistling would probably make your head explode in about a week (because it's so catchy). I already whistle it at least once every workday. :-)
