Another Day, Another Idiot Laying Between The Train Tracks While A Train Passes Over Him

train-tracks-moron.jpg

This is a video of some yokel laying face down between the train tracks while a train passes over him (previously: this crazy Ruski). If this is what you find yourself doing for fun, congratulations, it's time to leave a note for your ma and pa, steal the family car, and not stop driving until you're out of the midwest.

Hit the jump for the future Darwin Award recipient. And for the record, this is incredibly inconsiderate to the railroad engineers who are afraid they're about to kill somebody and can't do anything about it.

Thanks to pranda, Bean, michael and Bullocks, who feel sorry for the train engineers who are afraid they're about to kill somebody and can't do anything about it.

I'd call out his name so he'd look up and get his head sheared off. Fucktard deserves it.

Not gonna lie. I have my fingers crossed that this fucking idiot kills himself doing something this stupid in the near future, that way his DNA is removed from the global gene pool. Instead of narrowly avoiding trains, he needs to take one for the team and let it hit him.

Thanks for the talking to, Dadologie, but I came here for stupid/funny/geeky stuff, not idiots narrowly avoiding killing themselves.

  • monkeyspinach

Nice one bro, a train driver thought he killed you!

  • LittleBigFace

Some drivers will stop if they think they've hit someone. Basically this wanker is holding back the infrastructure that keeps humanity lubricated.

  • Xillra fe

They might, but I really doubt it. Trains take forever to stop - unlike to see in tv shows like thomas the train lol. Passenger trains usually take 3/4's of a mile to stop but i.e coal trains can take up to two miles... I really doubt there would be any stopping.
The driver probably is most likely told to suck it up and probably feels horrible for the next couple weeks, even though he didn't die -the driver doesn't know that..

Normally, if a driver feels they've hit someone. They have to stop and a police investigation needs to take place. It holds up the line and passengers (if it so happens that it's a passenger train) are shuttled off. It can delay service on the rest of the line if there are no other tracks available.

That being said. Drivers are probably only told to report incidents where they're SURE they've hit a person. If they do hit someone, they usually flag them as a 'trespasser' to forgo legal implications. Still sucks for the driver to have to go through it though.

P.S. Anyone that films in portrait is obviously on the lower end of the evolutionary scale. Portrait is for pictures, landscape is for video or landscape photography.

Lucky it was a slow short train. I've seen trains nearly a mile long that go easily twice as fast.

  • backafterthis

There has to be a way to track these idiots down and arrest them. There has to be a law against this. Trespassing for starters.

  • Rick_McRockock

It's absolutely trespassing. I almost got a ticket for that exact thing once when a cop stopped me for walking over railroad tracks... it's only technically legal to cross the tracks at the railroad crossings where the signals are.

  • Chewbacca

    Stupid is as stupid does.

And now the natural selection countdown begins.

    idiots.
