You Sure They're Not Real?: Realistic Papercraft Birds

papercraft-birds-3.jpg

This is a series of impressively constructed papercraft birds glued together by artist Johan Scherft. They look real. REALLY REAL. Polly want a cracker? Is this the wrong kind of bird for that? Is it the kind you feed breadcrumbs to by the pond? I think I was at home with chicken pox the week we were supposed to learn animals in school. The zoo is always a really crazy time for me. HOLY SHIT, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? "A squirrel." Like from Africa?! And what's that over there? "A kid in a stroller." Ugly little devil.

Hit the jump for a bunch more of the impressiveness.

Thanks to Carmen, whose IP I was gonna look up to figure out just where in the world he is, but then I got distracted playing online poker and forgot. He's probably not even there anymore anyways.

One would assume that the lion's share of his effort goes into his incredible art, but ignoring the pointless in favor of the amazing is so very difficult.
