Guy Gets Sucked Out The Back Of Plane By Parachute

parachute-plane-suck.jpg

This is a short video of a solider getting sucked out of the back of an airplane/helicopter after his reserve chute catches the wind. One second he's there, the next he's gone. Kind of like my online dating dates when we finally meet at a restaurant. *looking around* Was it something I said?! (It's usually a combination of everything I said plus the fact my profile pic was a blurry Leonardo DiCaprio).

This is a short video of a solider getting sucked out of the back of an airplane/helicopter after his reserve chute catches the wind. One second he's there, the next he's gone. Kind of like my roommate whenever the check comes at a restaurant. I've actually started tying his shoelaces together under the table so can't sneak away. That or pinning his hand to the table with a steak knife. I SAID WE'RE GOING DUTCH, DEREK.

You're right, those both sucked and I apologize. Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to GP, who doesn't believe in parachutes because every time he's jumped off the roof with a trash bag he's broken something.

At first I thought he was sucked out of the plane backwards but I had to watch it a couple of times and if you look closely as he is getting pulled out his body is twisted completely around

  • Frédéric Purenne

The more you look at it, the better it gets! XD

  • Joey Svitek

Unless I'm missing something, did you seriously misspell "soldier" twice?

  • SZMatheson

That was a civilian jump, and he was the jumpmaster, not a soldier.

  • Brick Sprickly

Since when do people jump with static lines in the civilian world?

  • SZMatheson

Insurance people love static lines, because it means that Joe Moron has to take a pair of scissors with him to now deploy his chute, rather than just freezing.

lolz at GW's writeups, ♥ it!

Woops, hope they weren't flying over enemy territory.

  • Stephen Casto

This is not a plane, it's a Chinook twin rotor helicopter...

  • Carpedayum

    Wrong

  • Brick Sprickly

No, Stephen is right. The ramp is too small for a C-130, definitely too small for a C-17, and it sounds like a chinook.

  • Carpedayum

Actually it was a C-130 Hercules. This video was on the news.

  • Epacs

I am more inclined to go with a C-130. The high pitch noise that can be heard throughout is the same noise a utility hydraulic pump makes, which is within a few feet of the camera man. Not to mention the strut assemblies holding the ramp in place look nothing like a Chinooks; and identical to a C-130's.

One of the best scenes in Transformers: RotF. Oh, it's not bad in real life, either.
