Boldy Going: Radio-Controlled Flying USS Enterprise

rc-uss-enterprise.jpg

This is a video of Youtuber TheMiro59 constructing and test-flying his custom built radio controlled USS Enterprise. It has light effects and everything. Unfortunately, it's not the best flyer, but hey -- neither am I.

PILOT: Attention all passengers, this is your captain speaking.
ME: HOLY SHIT, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE. Mayday, Mayday! *downs airplane bottle, braces for impact*

Hit the jump for the video, but skip around after the 3:00 mark to see the test flights.

Thanks to kassian, who called me a jerk in his email and hurt my feelings but I'm going to be the better man and just brush it off then attack him when he least expects it.

If the Enterprise-D did have a propeller, it wouldn't have crash landed in Generations. Or maybe it would have into a large, green net.

  • All that ingenuity and he wasted it on EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW The next generation. Shoulda been original star trek brah. Chuck norris woulda done it that way.
Original star trek would have explained all the crashes after 5 seconds too. All he'd need is some green ladies to hump after every crash.

First Contact seriously had the best music of any Trek movie.

This guy built his flying Enterprise D, however you can buy easy to assemble kits of basically the exact same toy from here: http://www.sg-ideas.com/sg-ide...

That's frickin awesome. It looks great and flies! ... even if only for a few seconds. Still, mission successful!

looks like there's ZERO lift from the tail. He should rig up some clear plastic wings for additional lift for the back.

It flies like a limp biscuit.

I think the holodeck malfunctioned again.

  • This is pretty damn cool. I think its obvious that the motor isn't producing enough thrust and the ass end is too heavy and is dragging it down but still pretty damn cool that he got is somewhat airworthy.

Obviously there's an issue with either the antimatter containment field, the structural integrity field, the Bussard ramscoops, the deflector dish, or the captain's yacht.

I'm sure the solution is to just reverse the polarity.

  • Nope

Just throw some deus ex machina at it. That always does the trick when the Enterprise gets all wonky and stuff.

    I'm the Enterprise. WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
