Auto-Aiming Rifle Gets A Weird Video Gamey Commercial

auto-aiming-rifle-commercial.jpg

This is a CG commercial for the $17,000 Linux-powered TrackingPoint XS1 scope, an auto-aiming system that tells you when you'll be successful or not at putting a hole in something. At first I thought it was weird they decided to use those video gamey computer graphics for the whole commercial until I realized that hunting is just like, a first-person shooter IN REAL LIFE. Did anybody else just have their mind blown? No -- just me? I was the only 9-year old in my kindergarten glass.

Hit the jump for the slick graphics.

Thanks to Geekhawk, who hunts by dive-bombing prey from above and utilizing the element of surprise. Plus razor-sharp talons.
