Time-Lapse Of That Giant LEGO Hogwarts Assembly

lego-hotwarts-timelapse.jpg

Remember the 400,000 piece LEGO Hogwarts build by Alice Finch? Well this is a time lapse of its assembly. Not the entire build mind you, just putting together the predominately per-assembled pieces for display at the Emerald City Comicon. A time-lapse of the actual build, good lord -- now that would be Oscar worthy. Worthy of ALL OF THEM. I'd still give it best costume design and original score even if Alice wore PJ's the whole time and the music was just crying babies.

Hit the jump for the minute-video.

Thanks to PYY, who agrees the only thing more impressive than a 400,000-piece LEGO Hogwarts is real magic.

Seen here doing his best Amish Abe Lincoln, Kevin Walter built a 175-cm (~69") Barad-dûr/Eye of Sauron LEGO sculpture for the 2011 Brickworld convention. I'm not sure how many pieces it is, but my guess is in the tens. Did I mention I'm a terrible guesser? Because, no lie, ... / Continue →

  • FAKE!!!!

This is a complet photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadow's are all wriong.

This is exactly like that scene in the movie Nevewr BAck Down where Max and Baja spent months living in a tent and were able to avoid hating each other, and also avoid having it turn into a kinky sexfest.

  • Lamest. Timelapse. Ever.

  • this is lame.. i don't want to see already assembled pieces just put into place

I thought that said "No Clue" at the beginning of the video instead of 'Glue'
