I've heard that getting kicked in the balls causes crippling, shooting pain that travels up the spinal cord to the throat, violent nausea, and a sensation like your internal organs have been replaced with broken glass.

I experience that on and off for 48 hours every month, each episode lasting at least 3 hours without narcotic painkillers. And I am still expected to suck it up, smile, and go about my day being pleasant to everyone I meet. I am told that my pain is irrelevant, all in my head, and that it can't possibly be that bad.

As for being kicked in the balls - imagine being kicked in the balls for 12 hours while trying to force a cantaloupe out of your penis. The vagina takes way more punishment than a penis ever could, and was designed to, so I never understood why weakness and lack of pain tolerance was designated a female thing. Women weren't even allowed to take painkillers for childbirth for centuries, and then for about thirty years in the 20th century were told that labor pains were imaginary and could be done away with by breathing.
