In heartwarming news, the window washers at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, dressed as Superman and Captain America to surprise the sick children there while they worked on the sides of the building. Then they came in for a meet-and-greet and all the kids had a great time and were able to forget about their illnesses for a little bit and maybe the world isn't the terrible place I always make it out to be, the end.

Hit the jump for one more shot followed by three others from a similar occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge the All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, from earlier this month. A BONUS VIDEO TOO BECAUSE LET'S ALL FEEL GOOD TODAY.

Thanks to Hayley, who just let's the rain wash the windows because hiring superheroes gets expensive. Right? One time I hired Superman to do the dishes and he charged me like $40,000. And broke my favorite shot glass!

You guys are assholes. These people did something nice and you're judging the job they're doing. Grow up.

Bonus points for the Occurence at Owl Creek reference!

I wonder if that's uncomfortable to work in.

You guys are over thinking it. Their children. Its a cool gesture. They probably liked it. This little post made me feel good about humanity again. And then you all fucked it upby being a bunch of cynical bastards. Well played.

  • porkleaker

    Actually, it's they're, but whatever.

  • Idlethoughts

I don't see why you would ever wash windows without being in a costume. I mean your scaling the walls of building for a living, why not do it while wearing a gorilla suit or something.

  • Hey

    No Sandman?!?!? pfft

  • BillGatesIsYourDaddy

how is seeing your favorite superhero reduced to doing menial labor supposed to make you feel better?

  • Adonos

Thats what superman always says "People who help out at childrens hospitals are THE WORST. Just shit, you know"

  • Shawn Bibby

    because its YOUR hospital

  • BillGatesIsYourDaddy

I would rather see The Hulk beat someone to death with their own arms instead of watching him scrape bird poop off the window sill.

  • Adonos

They tried to do that, but they were arrested for some reason...

  • disqus_RuXcDv0yYH

I thought you knew your Superheros better than that GW, it's Spiderman, not Superman.....geeez.

  • Actually, it's Spider-Man, but whatever.
