Last Nintendo Power Cover Pays Homage To The First

last-nintendo-power.jpg

This is a side by side comparison of the very first and very last Nintendo Power magazine covers. Man, I actually remember having that first issue way back in 1988. I had just turned seven and still couldn't read yet. But did that stop me from looking at all the pictures and licking the pages? NOPE. Fun fact: when I was in my teens I used to read library books on the john until I realized I probably wasn't the first person to read that book on the john, and that's when I stopped going to the library. "Fascinating." Right? I can't believe nobody's bought my life story yet.

Thanks to chichi, who can't believe most magazines have even lasted this long. Books though -- they should never stop printing books.

I actually remember the very first one, from when I was a kid. A friend had it and we spent hours looking through it. My mother had bought me Super Mario bros. 2 and I came home from either second or third grade to find it waiting for me. Ah, the memories.
(I don't really have memories anymore because my brain has atrophied due to overuse of video games)
