Rare Condition That Causes Scalp To Look Like A Brain

October 22, 2012 / being thankful for things you probably haven't even considered before, brain, conditions, damn mother nature wtf you just need to stop do you hear me? STOP, freaky deaky, hair, head, just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in, like one of those aliens from mars attacks, medical, rare, trying...not...to stare, whoa

Note: Uncensored shot after the jump because I'm a firm believer that nobody on the internet should be able to make you vomit without warning.

This is a shot of a man with a rare condition called cutis verticus gyrata. It causes folds in your scalp, which start to resemble a brain. This isn't even the most extreme example -- I made the mistake of Googling the condition and there are some much, MUCH more intense pictures out there. I don't suggest looking at them. I know I typically operate with a "If I had to see it, so do you" policy, so consider this an early Christmas present. Now, let's all take a moment to be thankful we don't have this. Or mini-peens.

    Also, just so you know, I don't wear my hair short enough so as to tell. I stopped after realizing my head did this.

  • I had no idea this is rare. For all you dissenters out there, I implore you to look into basic training head shaving. I've seen this stuff at least 10 times in my career. Not only is it very real, It's truly not as uncommon as you'd think.

  • Is this really that disturbing? I mean...I was expecting something really horrific under the censored portion...but yeah, I mean...he's got weird folds in his scalp. Anyone who would become nauseous by something like this needs to re-examine their life.

  • When I was in the Navy about 15 years ago, there was a chap in my division who had the same condition. It creeped me the hell out!
