Futaba robot can really move, super expensive

Futaba showed a new 20-servo humanoid robot at the iHobbyExpo this year. The robot contains carries 11 high-torque servos and 9 lightweight servos, and uses them to move super fast and do a variety of cool moves like flips and hand stands. And all for only $1,700. Which sounds like a lot in theory, but can you really put a price on a robot that runs around doing cool things? Yes. Yes you can. And it's $2.99. So unless it comes in a McDonald's Happy Meal you're screwed.

More shots of the robot after the jump.

Man. Man oh man oh man. This is a video of Dan Chen's 'Last Moments Robot', a robot designed to comfort a person as their final bars of life-force flow out of them. You know, because that's not the saddest thing I've ever heard. WARNING: crippling depression follows. Once ... / Continue →
